BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Construction of a 19,000 square foot 3-story new performing arts wing for Santa Monica College.  This architecturally beautiful project is a largely glass covered structure, featuring a lot of architecturally exposed steel finished by Pennsylvania Coatings with high performance coatings by Tnemec.  The building includes a music hall performance area, mezzanine, music lab, as well as rehearsal and storage areas.

DLR Group was recognized with a Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) San Fernando Valley and a Design Award from the Southern California Development Forum.
